My Story

Tong Tong is a labrador mix who became part of our family in May 2021. She originally lived in Sichuan, China, but was abandoned at the vet when she was just a few months old. She had contracted parvovirus, and her owner did not want to pay for the treatment. She ended up in good hands with International Paw Angels, whose specialty is rescuing dogs from China and finding them a suitable forever family in the US. 

At that time, my family was considering getting a dog as a companion on hikes. We felt lucky to adopt Tong Tong from International Paw Angels. During the journey we took to find her, I saw countless other pets in need of not just loving homes, but financial sponsors just to receive basic care. That’s why I decided to start FurDoodle - it is my goal to help as many dogs and cats with origin stories so similar to Tong Tong’s as possible.

As a high schooler, I don’t have enough finance to achieve my goals to rescue our furry friends. My parents encouraged me to utilize my drawing skills to assist animals in my own unique way. Here is how it works: You provide an image of your pet, I will draw in my artstyle, print the drawing into goods (like a mug), and ship it to you. Meanwhile, when you place the order for the goods, you specify an amount of donation that I will donate to a shelter on your behalf, and then I send a receipt of the donation. It’s that simple.
